This year's trip was wonderful. Last year it rained the entire time we were in Tucson for the Gem and Mineral show but this year it was sunny and in the low 70s each day. The dealers also had some interesting things to purchase but as always the prices remained high. Both Chinese and Indian dealers had new finds from 2015 to check out.
With the Chinese dealer's new things from Inner Mongolia continue to surface. Other Chinese locations produced new fluorites and calcites both in examples worth obtaining. One Indian dealer had two new finds I decided were worth investing in: deep green, high luster heulandites and apophyllite flowers reminiscent of the famous find from 2001-2002.
The sunsets and sunrises at the Gilbert Ray campgrounds, where we stayed, were also better than normal!
