OKH-572 Stibnite Herja, Romania. Ex. Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection. I do not consider these specimens to be unusual but this one is. It is composed of a 2 .4 centimeter spray of bright silver colored stibnite that is tipped on edge and embedded in an unusual matrix of rich brown color. This matrix appears to be made of quartz pseudomorphs, possibly after barite. No damage. It is interesting and attractive due to the color and luster contracts. The entire piece measures 6.3 x 5.7 x 2.8 cm. Very nice on several levels. $125

OKH-678 Stibnite Cisma Mine, Baiut, Maramures County, Romania. Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection, circ. 1989. This is the finest large example of one of these old style Romanian stibnites that I have seen. It measures 12.2 x 10 and averages 3.5 cm thick. It is a doughnut of well formed, stocky crystals. A deep metallic silver color and high luster. Two crystals on edge/ near base are clipped off…the rest of the perimeter and central areas are damage free. Wonderful condition!!! I will be constructing a custom engraved acrylic base. $850

Piece is very showy and the damage is not noticeable unless searched out. 12.2 x 8 x 3.5 cm. Excellent display specimen. 295$
