OKO-192

OKO-192     Aurichalcite on Calcite    Medusa Quarry, York, York County, PA.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection, personally collected by him in 1963.  I have to assume this is rare for the quarry in that I have never encountered it before.  Tine robin's egg blue balls on calcite make for a good contrast in this 1.9 x 1.8 x 1.6 cm piece.  No damage.  Displays nicely.   $45

OKO-191

OKM-956

OKM-956    Pyrite   French Creek Mines, St. Peter, Chester County, PA.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  Prev. George Springs collection, 1976.  Beautiful, sharply formed pyrites in two horn like stacks of crystals measuring 2.5 x 2.2 x 1.5 cm overall.  This is a classic that has stood the test of time: no damage, great luster and still displays great from any direction.  The photos do a very poor job of conveying how good this specimen really is.  Tiny area of mineral tac on base, sits nicely on its own for display.  No damage, competition level specimen from an extinct locale.  $300
