OKF-064 Azurite and Malachite RESERVED Nevada Lode, La Sal, San Juan Co., Nevada. Ex. Dr. Steven Chamberlain collection. Here is a large TN specimen which has a great form and nice color contrast. The bright blue, damage free blades of azurite form diverging sprays of platy crystals which have the occasional masses of azurite crystals pseudomorphed by malachite. Completely domical specimen (almost stalactitic in form). 3.5 x 2.5 x 2.4 cm overall. A very nice American azurite. 290$

OKF-058 Quartz Scepter Hallelujah Junction, Washoe Co., Nevada. Ex. Art Edwards Collection. This is one of those large fine scepters we all read about but seldom see offered for sale. This massive piece measures 15.8 cm long and is composed of both amethyst and smoky quartz. Transparent to translucent, including the stem, but I do not backlight my specimens to enhance them, so it isn’t very evident. The slightly skeletal cap is not fully formed all around in that the back was in contact with matrix. There is also a small contact on side which is less evident. A great specimen which displays okay from sides, not form back and great from the front. 770$
Barites Barrick's Meikle Mine, Elko County, Nevada
Specimens from the Rustbucket Cavern are a wonderful butterscotch yellow which is not exhibited well by these photos. OKC-087 and 088 are more of a gold color due to sulfide inclusions. All these specimens and those from the Dee Mine, Bootstrap District, Elko County, Nevada are damage free unless otherwise mentioned.

OKE-026 Barite on Calcite Barrick’s Meikle Mine, unknown pocket, Elko, Nevada. Ex. Jim Turek collection. A huge plate of damage free crystals to 1.8 cm on edge. These crystals do not have the high luster and gemmy interiors typical of this location but are still quite nice. They have light phantoms. A good specimen from what will soon be an American classic. 16 x 12 x 6 cm plate. 275$

OKC-085 Barite on Calcite Barrick's Meikle Mine, Rustbucket Cavern, 1,375 Level, Elko County, Nevada. Two great views on this large specimen. Because there is a cleaved crystal on the side labeled "Back?" I would display the other side as the front. Big, thick gemmy crystals are perched along the edge of this large calcite. Specimen is 15 cm across and composed of crystals to 4.7 cm. Fine display piece. 600$
