OKO-723       Sulfur      Steamboat Springs, Nevada.  Ex. Harold L. Dibble collection.  A large plate of pseudomorphs of ?  after aragonite with well dispersed sulfur crystals to almost 2 cm each.  Two crystals have damage/missing sections: one on the very edge on top at the tapered end and one that is on the side of the piece (seen from the front of the piece right at the base) so, all in all, the specimen is in very good condition.  The sulfur crystals are in nice contrast with the matrix, they possess the expected waxy luster, bright yellow color, and classic form.  Minor crystallization on the back and bottom, too.  It measures 26.5 x 12 x 6 cm.  Very nice piece.  $1,800

OKH-982     Realgar       RESERVED      Getchell Mine, Humboldt Co., Nevada.  Ex. Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  A very aesthetic specimen form an unusual U.S. locality.  The realgars branch out off the dark matrix in an attractive spray.  Individual crystals are prismatic and rounded (almost melted looking).  The piece measures 2.7 x 2 x 1.8 cm with crystals to 1 cm each.  Their luster is very high and the color contrast between the deep blood red crystals and black matrix is exceptional.  Zero damage.  Anyone who collects North American TN specimen would likely desire this fine piece.  I anticipate it having no trouble finding its place in a fine collection.  Very fine!  $225

OKH-571    Malachite pseudo. after Aurichalcite    Pioche, Nevada.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  This is an interesting piece measuring 7.2 x 4 x 2.8 cm overall. The upper surface contains all the mineralization which is deposited on dark brown/black matrix.  It is glued into the base of a large perky box.  There is no damage  and there is also minor crystallization that appears to be calcite and an unknown black mineral.  Unusual and colorful. $150

OKI-613    Sulfur    Sulfur Springs, Washoe Co., Nevada..  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.   This double terminated single crystal was found in 1979 by Lew Beebe.  It is a rich, deep yellow color and very skeletal in form.  It appears to be a floater and has no damage. Glassy luster and unusually translucent for a sulfur specimen.  The piece measures 3.5 x 1.5 x .9 cm and is beautifully mounted on a slim post in a perky box.  Very attractive and interesting in form.  50$

Barites  Barrick's Meikle Mine, Elko County, Nevada

Specimens from the Rustbucket Cavern are a wonderful butterscotch yellow which is not exhibited well by these photos.  OKC-087 and 088 are more of a gold color due to sulfide inclusions.  All these specimens and those from the Dee Mine, Bootstrap District, Elko County, Nevada are damage free unless otherwise mentioned.
