Alabama is another state that seldom falls on the collector's radar.  Some unusual finds can be seen below.

OKP-786      Stilbite, Microcline and Quartz        Corn Creek, Elmore County, Alabama.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  Many small blooms of translucent, lustrous stilbite fill this vug  They have no damage and the other species compose the matrix of this 7.4 x 5.4 x 2 cm piece.  $35

OKP-708      Phosphosiderite     Indian Mountain, Cherokee County, Alabama.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  Colorful purple phosphosiderite exposed from within a thin vein coats part of this specimen.  The piece measures 6 x 3.6 x 2.6 cm.  The botryoidal mounds show damage because this was obviously a thin vein and the large ones grew across the opening contacting the opposite side.  $45
