Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection, Acquired from National Museums of Canada, 1986, Louis Moyd Collector, 1960 (historic siderite pocket).   This is the top piece from the collection.  Superb display piece with one big siderite over 6 cm on edge with great surface features exhibiting a stair step like appearance.  A wonderful ball of calcite crystals, over 2 cm rests on one face.  One side coated by sprays of tiny white albites.  No back view, it is cleaved, but it doesn’t need one!  Museum quality specimen.  Important specimen.  Great display piece worthy of a top St. Hilaire collection.  650$

Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection, Acquired from National Museums of Canada, 1986, Louis Moyd Collector, 1960 (historic siderite pocket).   Superb display piece with fully formed siderites to 4.5 cm on edge embedded in Feldspar matrix.  Smaller siderites are translucent.  Very displayable 9 cm cluster with well exposed crystals.  Backside has one crystal with a couple tiny cleaves but this should never show.  Coatings are calcite crystals.  Attractive surface features on the siderites give them character.  Very nice specimen.  350$
