Pakistan Topaz
The topaz from Pakistan can be some of the most attractive specimens
around...often gemmy, well formed, sometimes large and often on matrix are all
qualities which make them highly desirable. Colors range from none at all
to sherry and very rarely red. Occasionally, it is found naturally etched which
adds another feature to this interesting mineral species. Alone or in
combination with other minerals it makes for very aesthetic specimens. Some great examples are for sale here.

OKD-290 Topaz Nyet, Baltistan, Northern Areas, Pakistan. This fine crystal is 3 cm wide and stands 6 cm high. It is a wonderful scherry color and transparent with mild veils throughout the majority of its 144 gram mass. Other that a 1 millimeter ding, which is really only noticeable with magnification, the specimen is damage free. I have used a small drop of hot glue on the base of the crystal to get it to display upright. Very aesthetic specimen which simply glows when back or top lit in a case. 350$
