Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  Circ. 1955.  This is a 7 x 5.2 x 4 cm rock with a coating of bright green garnets on front and some also on back and sides.  The crystals are extremely tiny.  No damage.  $30

Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  Circ. 1977.  This is a thin and transparent example of this material that measures 2.8 x .9 cm.  It is only a couple of millimeters thick.  Damage-free.   $30

OKM-996      Diopside    Orford Nickel Mine, Quebec, Canada.  Ex. Harold L. Dibble collection.  This is a fine example of these unusual, chisel shaped diopside crystals.  It measures 5.5 x 1.6 x 1 cm.  It is damage free, high in luster, attractive surface texture, and does not have distracting contacts like many of these crystals do have.  It has a healed break near its base that is not at all distracting.  $85

Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  A fine, tabular, single terminated, lustrous, translucent crystal which measures 3.3 x 1.3 x .5 cm.  The piece is typical, which for diopside means exceptional, for the site.  This one is adhered in a perky box.  30$

OKF-305      Diopside     Orford Nickel Mine, Brompton Lake, Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada.  Ex Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  This is a beautifully formed, lustrous single terminated crystal measuring 3.9 cm x 2 cm x 1.2 cm.  Totally damage free and very displayable.  It is nicely translucent and not being backlit in the photographs.  A fine example of what might be the best Canadian diopsides anywhere.  $120
