Chuck Bowman collection.  Chuck was one of a handful of collectors who worked this road side pocket for fluorite.  The crystals are octahedral with terminating corners that have multiple points.  They have transparent interiors and frosted exteriors.  Very unique.  On the fluorite can be seen green spots, crystals, and or, coatings of epidote.  This piece is composed of two equidimensional, interpenetrating, parallel growth octahedrons.  It is a floater with a healed base contact.  2.2 x 2.2 x 1.7 cm.  A fine example of this nearly impossible to find material.  $40

OKO-904     Calcite      Rt. #30 Road Cut, Near Long Lake, New York.  Collected by Chuck Bowman.  Three crudely terminated crystals from this little known road cut (now the site is buried) that is better known for producing fluorite with epidote.  These crystals are a light yellow color, transparent, and up to 2.5 cm in length.  No damage.  $30
