OKP-834      Galena     Baxter Springs, Picher, Cherokee County, Kansas.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  This damage-free dome of octahedral crystals measures 3.7 x 2.7 x 2.4 cm.  The crystals have a nice patina and good development.  Some crystals near the base (minor sphalerite) are hollowed out.  $45

OKL-808     Sphalerite     Swally Mine, Baxter Springs, Kansas.    A fantastic , large, lustrous crystal with colorful iridescence perched high on a pedestal of smaller crystals.  2.5 x 2.3 x 2.2 cm.  Has the appearance of a floater group with the only contact being on the lower back (invisible when mounted).  Zero damage.  Very aesthetic and a perfect competition grade specimen for a U.S. case.  The little white spot is a crystal of dolomite.  $250
