This location is a long ledge/ cliff along a road side.  It is part of the Chittenango Falls Park and collecting is strictly prohibited.  Specimens are occasionally found in regional collections and sometimes pieces will be deacquisitioned by the New York State Museum.  Rarely, are fine specimens available.  All of the ones I have available have come from collections accumulated when it was legal to collect at the road cut.  Some of these would have been collected as early as the 1920s.
