OKO-883

OKO-883      Fluorite with Epidote    Route #30 Road Cut, near Long Lake, Hamilton County, New York. Ex. Chuck Bowman collection.  Chuck was one of a handful of collectors who worked this road side pocket for fluorite.  The crystals are octahedral with terminating corners that have multiple points.  They have transparent interiors and frosted exteriors.  Very unique.  On the fluorite can be seen green spots, crystals, and or, coatings of epidote.  This is only a representative piece that measures 2 x 1.7 x 1.6 cm.  There is a large contact and some blue mineral tack on its bottom    $30

OKO-893      Calcite      Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Tennessee.  Ex. Chuck Bowman collection.  This piece is a spectacular thumbnail sized piece measuring 3.5 x 2.3 x 2 cm.  There is no damage an it sports a fine twin standing up high off the matrix as well as a tiny companion crystal at its base.  Both crystals are twinned, transparent and the desired yellow coloration. There are tiny balls of a white mineral (probably barite) on the top backside area of the largest crystal.  This is such a fine quality piece that someone will have it fast.  Exceptional!  $195
