Mineral Specimens For Sale From Columbia

OKO-533

OKO-533    Emerald on Pyrite     Columbia.  Ex. Harold L. Dibble collection.  This is a nice large display piece that side on edge for display and measures 20.5 x 14 x 5 cm.  The crystal are embedded and of nice quality being transparent in areas and translucent, overall.  The one on the right is complete, doubly-terminated, and measures 4.3 cm long.  The other two are incomplete.  The pyrite is very interesting but I would never look at this being a pyrite specimen.  The backside is coated with large pyrites and quartz.  I wish we knew what specific mine this was from but I'm sure the matrix, pyrites, and emeralds themselves will clue someone in on this matter.  $400
