Although Morocco may be most famous for its amazing vanadinites, there are many other examples of fine crystallized species from this exotic location.  We almost always have a nice selection of great specimens from Morocco.






OKH-987    Anglesite    Touissit Mine, Oujda, Morroco.  Ex. Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  This is a fine example of some of the most in demand material on today’s market.  It is of the highest luster, great form and great clarity (only mild internal fracturing.  The color is a desirable bright yellow… not pale, Bright!  1.9 x 1.1 x .9 cm.  Very tiny ding on one edge, otherwise in nice shape viewing great from all sides.  Mounted in a perky box.  These have hit some outrageous prices even for TN sized specimens.  This one will be an amazing find for someone who has wanted one of these in their collection.  I think I have it between 1/3rd and ¼ of the price that it could be sold for.  A nice value at $240








OKH-949    Erytherite    Bou Azzer, Morocco.  Ex. Paul and Dawne Dunning collection.  A good example of this material measuring 4.8 x 3.6 x 2.5 cm overall with crystals to approx. .7 cm each.  Bright red purple color.  Crystals are gemmy as would be expected.  No damage.  $125








OKI-656    Erythrite    Morocco, Africa.  Ex Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.   Purple red color to this seam containing partially formed crystals.  2.5 x 1.3 x 1.2 overall.  20$








OKI-658     Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite     Sidi Ayed, Atlas Mountains, Morocco.  Ex Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.   A large example measuring 3 x 2 x 1.7 cm.  There is base and back contact with clean views from the front and sides and top.  No damage.  Some rich blue, high luster azurite shows through but primary views show the nice green malachite, for the most part.  Very reasonably priced for this material at….80$








OKI-659     Azurite     Sidi Ayed, Atlas Mountains, Morocco.  Ex Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.   An attractive specimen with bright blue, high luster crystals to 1.6 cm on edge.  The main crystal is double terminated and the specimen is on a small section of matrix.  Only one small edge contact.  Very respectable and aesthetic.  2.2 x 2.2 x 1.5 cm with no damage.  Great piece for the price.  125$








OKI-652     Azurite     Sidi Ayed, Atlas Mountains, Morocco.  Ex Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.   A beautiful little, damage free floater.  Yes, double terminated!  1.8 x 1.3 x .9 cm overall.  The specimen is a grouping of crystals, although it is dominated by one large one.  Top blue color (photos don't show this well), fine form, outstanding luster.  Excellent specimen.  80$








OKI-122    Cerussite on Barite      Mibladen, Morocco.  An aesthetic piece with big skeletal cerussite crystals which sit up high on the barite blades.  The size and form of this damage free specimen couldn’t be much nicer.  Views great from any direction and sits great for display.  This specimen measures 5.2 x 5.2 x 4.3 cm overall..  The crystals of cerussite are translucent with transparent regions.  A far better a than m normal example of this fairly common contemporary material.  75$








OKF-304    Vesuvianite    Tonpite, Sidelt, Morocco.     This piece is a stocky double terminated crystal measuring 5.6 cm in length.  It is a rich brownish green color, translucence and a very high luster.  He specimens always seemed to be around for only a year or two during an early 2000s.  This is an exceptional specimen with only a couple small areas on the back of the piece having contacts matrix.  Very nice piece.  $80

OKF-385    Vanadinite    Touissit Mine near Oujda, Morocco.  Here is a very cool piece which came out in the early 1980s.  The color is very unusual.  The crystals are a light green color with terminations of a whitish green color.  The crystals are up to .8 cm in length and diameter.  The specimen is mineralized on almost all sides with the exclusion of the small area of base and overall it measures 6.1 x 3.9 x 3.6 cm.  It is damage free.  A very displayable and interesting piece.  $300








OKF-098    Cerussite    Mibladen, Morocco.    This crystal is an enormous thumbnail measuring 3.5 by 2.9 x 3.5 cm.  It just barely fits in the perky box it is a large damage free crystal which is gemmy but heavily included throughout.  A very substantial and showy specimen which views equally well from any direction for     $100








OKE-406    Anglesite    Toussit Mine, Ouija, Morocco.  Ex. Jim Turek Collection.  This matrix contains two vugs filled by nice clear (very slightly yellow) anglesite crystals to a cm each.  The crystals are all well formed and damage free except those directly on the edge of each pocket where they were split open.  Piece measures 7 x 6 x 6 cm.  Fine example.  120$








OKD-762     Anglesite     Toussit, Ouijda, Morocco.  Ex. Jim Turek Collection.  An attractive cluster of gemmy clear, blocky crystals on dark galena matrix.  Crystals to .7 cm on edge and overall size of 3.8 x 3 x 2.2 cm.  One crystal missing on edge of group and one other with a ding.  A good specimen greatly reduced in price at    50$








OKD-514    Wulfenite    Toussit, Morocco.  Ex Nancy Collins Collection.  Dozens of yellow wulfenite crystals to over a cm each on large crystals of tan dolomite.  These tabular crystals are nicely formed but a few do have dings.  Overall the specimen displays very well and has a nice waxy luster.  The piece measures a healthy 6.5 x 5.5 x 5 cm.  150$








OKD-028      Vesuvianite   Tunpite, Sidelt, Morocco.   Big, beautiful, double terminated crystal of a deep green color.  This one is an exceptional piece for the location.  Backside has some rough areas but otherwise far better than the photo indicated.  85$







OKB-554   Cerussite   Milbladen, Morocco.   Big single crystal with smaller rider.  Grades from gemmy areas to areas which are almost opaque.  Nice color form (floater crystal) with very minor barite.  4.5 x 3.5 x 3 cm.  25$








OKB-555   Cerussite on Barite    Milbladen, Morocco.    Huge (almost 6 cm) cerussite on large barite plate.  13 x 10 cm overall.  Cerussite is translucent, complex and highly etched.  Nice display with the cerussite sitting up very high off the matrix.  65$

OKB-192    Epidote/ Manyatite??   Lukuridu, Melchel, Morocco.  This material is also form a new find.  I am very unclear on the location spelling and the second mineral is unknown to me.  Attractive 6 cm specimen with deep green epidote sprays and small, well formed, metallic crystals of manyatite?  Crystals on both sides.  50$








EA-119 Cerussite Tourist, Morocco. Great cluster of V twinned, double terminated crystals of a translucent light brown color. High luster and deep striations. This one is very impressive. Great damage free terminations. Minor matrix and a chip on back of piece. 4.5 cm high by approx 3 cm wide. Most specimens that I have seen of this caliber are double this price. 225$








OKA-799 Cerussite Tourist, Morocco. Impressive 5 cm translucent brown crystal stands vertically out of a tiny (2 cm) piece of matrix. This crystal has a wonderful wedge shaped termination and is very showy. Some chatter marks on side of main crystal and chips on minor crystals on matrix. 200$





OKA-675 Barite/ Cerussite Milbladen, Morocco. 10 x 9 cm plate of orange coated white crystals to 2 cm. Several scraped or chipped blades. Cerussite is minor and on edges of plate.25$
