OKI-625 Awaruite (Josephenite) Josehhine Co., Oregon. Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection. This is a nickel-iron alloy-bearing rock named after its place of origin, Josephine County in southwestern Oregon. These awaruite pebbles occur as detritus in several streams that originate and flow across the Josephine Peridotite. They are similar in composition to nickel- iron meteorites but terrestrial in nature. This example measures 2 x 1.1 x 1.2 cm. It is undamaged and an excellent example of this rare material. $195
