OKD-828 Calcite on Strontianite River Quarry, PA. Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection. Steve Chamberlain collector. Here is a fine, very light yellow, transparent calcite on a bed of tiny clear calcites and acicular, white strontianite crystals. The big calcite appears to be a penetration twin. Note the unusual twin plain down the center of the crystal. The two halves are almost parallel in form so I’m not quite sure what to make of it. The crystal has a nice luster and the specimen’s aesthetics are very nice. 5 x 3 x 3.4 overal with the large calcite measuring 2.5 cm. A fine displayable specimen from an unusual location. 95$
