FONY-005 Exogenic Fulgurite Oswego, Oswego County, New York. From lighting strike on August 2, 2008, ref. Rocks and Minerals Magazine, May/ June 2011, Vol. 86, No. 3, p. 264-270. Collected by Joeseph, Jonah, Arlo, and Jeffery Shallit. The specimen here is more typical showing a rich black gray color and high luster. The overall length is 5.2 cm. It appears to be a single filament with bulbous areas in several spots. A tiny filament on underside and tiny bead attached by a filament on end. Entire surface is glassy. $120

Tough to tell even with 10x so it doesn’t distract from the aesthetics of this fine, older piece. $90

OKH-677 Beryl var. Aquamarine Erongo Mountains, Namibia. Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection. A truly fantastic example of interesting form and contrasts. The cluster measures 3.8 x 2.7 x 2 cm and fits in a perky box when positioned correctly. Aquas are bluish white with blue caps and sit in acicular black tourmalines at all angles. Damage free, views well from all sides. A real winner! $150

OKH-678 Stibnite Cisma Mine, Baiut, Maramures County, Romania. Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection, circ. 1989. This is the finest large example of one of these old style Romanian stibnites that I have seen. It measures 12.2 x 10 and averages 3.5 cm thick. It is a doughnut of well formed, stocky crystals. A deep metallic silver color and high luster. Two crystals on edge/ near base are clipped off…the rest of the perimeter and central areas are damage free. Wonderful condition!!! I will be constructing a custom engraved acrylic base. $850

It measures 5.5 x 2 x 1.3 cm overall. Gemmy and aesthetic. Rough on edges and one termination. Not perfect but very nice for such a rare thing. $ 190

OKH-680 Calcite Stalactite Treak Cliff Caverns, Chastelton, Derbyshire, England. Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection, old historic geologic specimen from the Dr. Trevor Ford collection. This international historic site is the location from which the famous Blue John fluorite is mined. 31 cm....over a foot long. Almost 3 cm wide at base. The specimen has significance as a historic piece and needs to be in a collection of importance a properly preserved. This piece has an old collection number in its base. $250

OKH-681 Hematite pseudomorph after Magnetite Payun Volcano, Altiplano de Payun, Matru, Mendoza, Argentina. Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection, circ. 1996. An amazingly aesthetic example of this fine material. Highest luster possible. Zero damage. Fantastic form with three fully terminated spires rising from a small fully terminated base. The piece is a complete floater. A wonderful example of parallel growth. Must be seen to be appreciated. I will be making a custom engraved acrylic base for this one. 7/9 high, 3.7 wide and 1.7 cm thick. Fantastic piece. Likely the finest small cabinet specimen of this material of which I am aware. $995
