OKH-697    Amethyst Scepter    Artemjeva Mine, 30 Meter Level, Mursinka, Urals, Russia.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  Circ. 1992. The scepter in this specimen measures 2.6 cm in length.  It is jacketed by small tabular calcites that have a dark band surrounding their “C” axis.  The scepter’s cap is light purple and the shaft is a grayish white.  2.6 x 2.4 x 1.7 cm overall.  There is a very tiny tip ding that is more clearly visible in close-up photography as seen here.  $65

OKH-699    Quartz on Fluorite    Mina LaMuela, near Cordoba, Spain.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  This small plate of cubic crystals measures 4.3 x 3.2 cm and is approximately 1.5 cm thick.  The color is an even ample green and the crystals are gemmy throughout.  The faces of each crystal show extensive stepped growths.  No damage.  A very nice example.  $50

OKH-700    Fluorite    Monarch Mine, Yavapai County, Arizona.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  A nice cluster of octahedral crystals on a tan color rock matrix.  The crystals are up to 1.3 cm each on edge and a half a soft satin luster.  The entire specimen measures 3.6 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm.  No damage.  $65

OKH-701    Calcite on Barite    RESERVED   Elmwood, Carthage, Tennessee.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  This is a beautiful example of what are considered to be some of the worlds finest calcites.  There are two twinned crystals one measuring 5.5 cm in the second 4.6 cm.  They sit up high of crystallized matrix of small barite crystals.  The calcites are gemmy with moderate internal fracturing.  They have the highest luster on all surfaces.  There is very minor tip damage on each end of the crystal.  As a result this piece will be offered for approximately 1/10th of what it would yield if in perfect condition.  The damage is not distracting so someone will really be getting a deal on this gorgeous specimen.  10 x 9.2 x 6.5 cm overall.  $200

OKH-704    Wulfenite on Fluorite    Tombstone, Arizona.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  Attractive specimen from a rather unusual location.  The fluorite is light green and the wulfenite a bright yellow orange color.   The specimen measures 7 x 5.5 x 3.5 cm and his mineralized on all sides.  The fluorites are cubes with frosted surfaces and the wulfenites are small tabular a plates that are gemmy.  No damage.  A very unusual piece.  $350

OKH-705     Tremolite and Calcite    (var. mountain leather)      Metaline Falls, Washington.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.   I’ve seen plenty of this material from many different locations.  This is the first I have seen that contained calcite crystals as an accessory mineral.  The entire mass is over 10 cm long and the largest calcite is 1 cm.  The calcites are tabular and clear.  No damage.  This is an excellent deal for someone who likes the unusual.  $75

OKH-706    Whiteite with Lazulite and Siderite    Rapid Creek, Yukon Territory, Alaska.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  This specimen measures 4.5 x 3.5 x 2 cm overall.  The individual crystals of whiteite are in excess of 1.5 cm each.  They have a satin luster and sit among their high luster accessory minerals.  Damage free.  An outstanding example for $135

OKH-707    Malachite after Azurite     Tsumeb, Namibia.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.   This specimen is an aggregate of well formed azurite crystals that are bright blue and of high luster.  There partially altered by malachite.  There is rocking contact these crystals in some areas so not all of them are terminated.  4.3 x 2.2 x 1.5 cm.  No damage.  $385

OKH-708    Fluorite    Luna County, New Mexico.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  This attractive specimen is composed of individual octahedral fluorites to 2.4 cm each.  The overall size of the specimen is 2.6 x 2.5 x 2.6 cm.  Crystal surfaces and modifications that give the piece a slightly satin appearance.  The crystals are gemmy internally.  $50

OKH-709    Fluorite on Quartz    Oatman, Arizona.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  This specimen is composed of octahedrons to 1.6 cm on edge.  The overall size is 6 x 5 x 3.3 cm.  The fluorites are light green color and gemmy internally.  There surfaces are modified by cubes.  The overall condition is good however several octahedrons on the edge contacts are cleaved.  The quartz is white and serves as a matrix underlying the fluorite.  $85

OKH-710    Witherite on Fluorite    Cave-In-Rock, Illinois.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  This large specimen measures 9.5 x 5.2 x 4 cm overall and is mineralized on the front and back.  The twinned witherite crystals are up to 3.5 cm each and appear on the front and back of the specimen.  The fluorite is a light blue and there are only a couple of them and they are damaged.  The witherites are spectacular shape, well formed lustrous.  Very florescent.  An excellent example of this uncommon material.  $295

OKH-711     Fluorite    Elmwood, Tennessee.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  An outstanding example of this popular material that measures 6.5 x 5 x 3.6 cm.  It is gemmy internally with only a couple of internal fractures and a light purple color.  The backside surfaces of both the sphalerites and fluorite are healed.  One corner of the fluorite has a 2 mm ding that does not distract from the overall aesthetics of this fine specimen.  An excellent piece.  $350

OKH-713    Fluorite   RESERVED  Felix Mine, Azusa, California.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  Beautiful plate of damage free cubes with dodecahedron modifications.  There color is a light greenish blue and the crystals are gemmy.  There are corner phantoms of octahedral form inside the cubes.  These are light purple.  Very unusual.  Specimen photographs were taken prior to cleaning, which it desperately needed.  Damage free.  6.7 x 4.2 x 3.5 cm overall.  A very fine specimen from an unusual location.  $250

OKH-714    Fluorite   Felix Mine, Azusa, California.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  This example is a more typical specimen from the location.  It is dominated by a large octahedron measuring 3 cm on edge.  It’s surfaces are highly modified by cubes, it is apple green in color, and internally transparent.  It measures 7 x 5.4 x 4.4 cm overall and is damage free.  $300

OKH-715     Fluorite on Quartz     El Hamon, Morocco.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  A very luster cube of yellow fluorite measuring 1.5 cm on edge resting on the termination of a milky colored quartz crystal.  The fluorite has several well-developed phantoms and on some faces a light dusting of micro-quartz.  The quartz has damage but the focus of this high luster specimen will be the fluorite.  4.2 x 2.8 x 2.2 cm overall.  A higher luster and the photos indicate.  Very aesthetic.  $175

OKH-716   Quartz on Fluorite    Mina LaMuela, near Cordoba, Spain.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  A rather unusual piece composed of fluorite cubes to 1.9 cm on edge are clear and slightly grayish cast.  They are high in luster and very translucent.  On these are small quartz crystals that are so perfect they almost look like diamonds.  There is minor chipping to a couple of the fluorites but it is not overly distracting.  The specimen measures 4.2 x 3.6 cm and is approximately 1.8 cm thick.  $175

OKH-683    Rhodochrosite on Quartz   American Tunnel Mine, Silverton Colorado.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  An exceptionally fine quality rhodo for a classic American location.  The color is rich enough and the form clean enough to pass as a Sweethome Mine specimen.  This fine TN specimen measures 3.4 x 3 x 2.2 cm overall with the largest crystal measuring 1.2 cm across or .7 cm on edge.  It does fit in a perky box and is currently glued in place.  Zero damage and very displayable.  $280

OKH-685    Elbaite     Himalaya Mine, Pala, California.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  A wonderful, copetition grade TN specimen that measures 2.2 x 1.9 x 1.8 cm.  Nice rich colors and great translucence to pink region, gemmy in green cap.  Fine termination without the normal dings and minor issues.  One 2 mm dissolution pit on termination.  Minor modifications to what is essentially a finely single terminated crystal.  No damage.  Very aesthetic.  $425

OKH-686    Ludlamite    Mina San Autonio, Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  A rich green example of this difficult to find material.  This one is a wheat sheath grouping of crystals to a cm each.  1.4 x 1 x .7 cm.  No damage.  Double terminated floater!  Small sulfide crystals on some surfaces (not at all distracting) and a tiny piece of calcite/quartz? Matrix with no points of attachment.  There is a small post section glued to back that could be removed.  Very respectable example!  $190

OKH-690    Beryl (var.Heliodor)    Wolodarsk-Wolynsky, Ukraine.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  A fine Communist era gem measuring 2.8 x 1.2 x 1.1 cm.  Totally gem in all areas with no cracks, flaws, dings, etc. etc.  With 10x you can see a tiny inclusion composed of several needles of an unknown mineral in a snowflake pattern.  Very interesting and attractive.  Heavily etched.  Great color and display characteristics.  Great gem!  $390

OKH-691    Limonite (Goethite) pseudomorphs after Pyrite     Bosingfeld, Weser, Germany.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  This is likely an old specimen from previous West Germany that measures a robust 3.3 cm in diameter.  It barely fits in a perky box.  Great patina with only a few tiny marks where the pyrite shows through.  Cubes are intergrown and highly striated.  Very minor Styrofoam on one area.  Very attractive piece.  $150

OKH-692    Grossular (labeled essonite)    Asbestos, Quebec, Canada.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  A 1970s era grouping of gemmy (with minor internal fracturing) crystals to 1.3 cm each.  The specimen measures 3.1 x 2 cm.  It is about .8 cm thick, sheared off the matrix, and healed on the backside.  No damage, fine cinnamon color and nicely striated crystals.  Normally more expensive in crystals of this quality.  $90

OKH-696    Tourmaline    Stewart Mine, Pala, California.  Ex.  Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection.  Bubblegum pink single crystal with no damage and nice form.  1.8 x 1.4 x 1.4 cm overall.  The termination is covered by growth hillocks and the prism is highly striated.  A fine luster and excellent translucence (transparent in areas).  $260
