OKD-175    Gypsum    Agersville, France.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  This 6.1 cm cluster is absolutely perfect!  So rare to find one of these without some form of damage.  This example is spectacular…very clear, beautiful symmetry and best of all, zero damage.  If you like miniatures with top shelf aesthetics, here it is.  100$

OKD-178    Fluorite on Sphalerite    Fall Hill Quarry, Ashover, Derbyshire, England.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  This cluster is a beautiful miniature measuring 4 x 3.5 x 2.2 cm.  It is composed of gem clear fluorite cubes to 1 cm each on edge that look frosted…they are not, they are included just below the surface by tiny (micro) pyrite crystals which have created beautiful phantoms.  The sphalerites are nicely formed and stick out in high relief from the fluorites in several places.  They reach over a cm each and have a medium metallic luster.  Contact on several edges.  No damage to any crystals.  A displayable and desirable specimen which is better in person.  90$

OKD-181    Calcite     Faylor-Middlecreek Quarry, Winfield. PA.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  Here is a really unusual calcite specimen for the Winfield location.  Most crystals are clear and schalenohedral.  These crystals are clear but are a nice reddish orange color and secondary on tiny clear to yellow first generation crystals.  4.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm piece with the calcites standing up nicely of the matrix.  40$

Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  4.8 cm double terminated pyrite bar which is actually an octahedral fom with slight cubic modification.  Early 1980’s specimen which has an attractive patina.  Long crystal contact on backside.  Nice displayable crystal.  80$

OKD-203    Fluorite     Catron Co., New Mexico.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  Prev. Ward’s ex. C. B. Sawyer collection.  A cluster of several intergrown schalenohedral crystals to 2.5 cm on edge.  These deep purple, translucent crystals have the scalloped growth surfaces so unique to this location.  The purple fluorite is coating green fluorite which is no visible on the specimens display face.  No damage, nice piece.   50$

Ward’s, 1976.  An attractive combination of translucent to transparent white chabasite on light green prehnite.  Zero damage to this fine 6 x 4 x 2 cm piece.  It sits beautifully on edge for display.  A fine and desirable specimen.  125$

OKD-833    Vesuvianite     Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  Crystals to 2.5 cm make up this gemmy cluster of vesuvianites.  Everything is fully terminated and free of damage.  Base was in contact with massive vesuvianites at one time.  A fine example of this classic material.  4.5 x 3.0 x 2.2 cm.  200$

OKD-213    Magnetite, Pyrite and Malachite    French Creek Mines, St. Peters, Cheaster Co., PA.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  There is a fine .7 cm octahedral pyrite partially embedded in magnetite and pyrite matrix.  Great form and good luster to this crystal.   A light coating of green malachite on one part of the matrix.  Classic material!  This fine damage free crystal is a nice one for the location.  Basically impossible to find examples of this material for sale.  125$

OKD-230    Calcite     Maceys Mine, Hillsbor, Sierra Co., New Mexico.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  What an unusual specimen.  It is a small 5.5 x 4 cm plate which is about 2 cm thick.  It is a floater, no points of attachment fully coated by calcites on both sides.  One side has larger rhombs of calcite to 1 cm on edge which are frosted on most surfaces.  The calcites on the other side are more modified and gemmy.  A fine quality piece with no damage.  Really unusual and interesting specimen.  90$

OKD-241    Japan Law Twin Quartz     San Pedro Mine, Santa Fe Co., New Mexico.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  An amazing specimen of milky quartz with at least 20 Japan law twins to 1.3 cm each coating its surfaces.  Minimal basil contact otherwise a floater.  One small twin is damaged on one side otherwise in great shape.  5 x 3.5 x 3 cm overall.  Numerous tiny white calcites scattered about the surface.  A very nice example of a rare quartz form.   100$

OKD-245    Quartz    Poretta, Italy.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  Prev. Ward’s specimen from the Dr. Drake collection.  An unusual specimen with some serious provenance.  The crystal measures in at 5.6 cm long and as you can see is very highly skeletal.  There is no damage (very minor rubbing on one termination, visible under magnification and not noticeable otherwise).  The piece is an interesting one having some clay inclusions and lots of openings.  A classic for the discriminating quartz collector.  145$

OKD-246    Sphalerite Twins, Galena (Spinel Law Twin), Pyrite and Fluorite    Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  A fine, damage free combination piece with nice luster and excellent form to all the crystals.  The fluorite and the galena twin measure .8 cm on edge each while the sphalerite crystals are larger (to 1.8 cm each).   The specimen measures 4.8 x 4.2 x 3 cm.  This is an aesthetic specimen which came out of the ground in the mid 1970’s.  60$

OKD-247    Fluorite    Rogers Property, Madoc, Ontario, Canada.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  A fine fluorite specimen collected by Dr. George Robinson, Curator of the Seaman’s Museum in Michigan.  The piece is composed of several intergrown, partial fluorites to 3.3 cm on edge.  The fluorites are cubes with minor octahedral modifications and highly modified surfaces.  They have sunken centers and white phantoms.  They are transparent and light yellow in color.  6 x 5 x 4.2 cm overall.  Specimen is better in person.  There is no damage to the specimen which is considerably better than most fluorites you will see from this location.  80$

OKD-251    Quartz, Siderite, Pyrrhotite    Morro Vehlo Gold Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  Here is another highly aesthetic miniature composed of several clear quartz points to over 3 cm each rising off of a flat quartz matrix.  Also rising off this matrix are well formed blades of siderite to 1.7 cm each.  Within and on these crystals are tiny metallic tabular pyrrhotite crystals to a couple of millimeters each.  It measures 5 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm and the body of the piece is damage free.  There is one siderite crystal on the extreme edge that has been cleaved off.  A showy, older specimen.  100$

OKD-252    Calcite pseudo after Aragonite on Dolomite   Johnby Quarry, near Penrith, Cumbria, England.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  White calcite has almost entirely pseudomorphed a 2.3 cm aragonite crystal.  Smaller clear aragonites are not pseudomorphed.  This attractive damage free specimen measures 4 x 4 cm and is approx. 1.5 cm thick.  A great example of rather rare material.  65$

OKD-752     Azurite     RESERVED  Toissit, Morocco.  Ex. Jim Turek Collection.  A beautiful, translucent blue crystal with some parallel/ divergent crystal growth striations and complexity to the termination.  3.2 x 2 x 1 cm in size.  Superb luster, zero damage.  This one is as nice as azurite gets!  Far better than these photos indicate.  150$
