Aquamarines from the
Erongo Mountains of Namibia
Aquamarines from the Erongo Mountains of Namibia are a relatively new item on the mineral market. This grouping of
fine miniatures shows what all the excitement is about. I find these crystals
more aesthetic and interesting than those from Pakistan. They are gem grade in
most cases with a more included appearance lower in the crystal. In double
terminated crystals both ends are often very gemmy. Combination minerals
include highly etched to well formed albite, schorl, quartz, titanite, zircon,
fluorite and others. These pieces are all damage free specimens which display
very well. None of these specimens are repaired.
