OKH-334    Diopside in Calcite   Mt. Bity, Antanamarivo Prov., Madagascar, circ 1982.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain.  A simply formed, prismatic green, diopside crystals to 2 cm each in calcite.  3 x 2.5 x 1.3 cm overall.  No damage but there are a couple contacts.  Good luster and decent form.  30$

OKH-335    Diopside in Calcite   Mt. Bity, Antanamarivo Prov., Madagascar, circ 1982.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain.  Two specimen, one a single crystal at 1.8 cm long and the second has several small diopsides to 1.2 cm each in calcite.  No damage.  Good luster and decent form.  20$

OKI-647     Thorianite     RESERVED    Andolobe, Madagascar.  Ex Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.   A .7 x .6 x .4 cm crystal in a cleave of tan/ yellow calcite.  The crystal is missing part of a back edge but displays great from the front and sides.  It is slightly iridescent, radioactive, high in luster and has nice surface features.  An excellent piece.  70$

OKI-478     Almandine     Ampandramaika, Madagascar.  Ex Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  A slightly tabular floater crystal measuring 2.7 x 2 x 1.5 cm.  A couple very tiny marks…as close to damage free as I have ever seen one of these.  Deep red color and good luster.  Very nice.  80$

OKI-479     Almandine     Ampandramaika, Madagascar.  Ex Dr. Steve Chamberlain collection.  A slightly tabular floater crystal measuring 2.5 x 2.2x 1.8 cm.  A couple very tiny marks and one small crystal contact that looks more like striations than a contact.  Deep red color and good luster.  Nice. I chopped the price in half given the trivial damage.  40$

 

 

 

 

 

 

OK-004

OK-004    Almandine    Ampadramaika, Madagascar.  Ex. Dr. Steve Chamberlain Collection.  This large single crystal is a floater with only a couple minor rubs.  Highly displayable, high luster, mild translucence and spectacular textbook form.  There are minor striations on its glassy faces and the crystal is an equidimentional shape at 2.5 cm in diameter. OKD-391

OKD-391    Schorl   Tongabeno, Madagascar.   This piece is a thin pencil of jet black tourmaline with light striations the length of its “c” axis.  The luster is very high and there is a tiny tip ding only noticeable under 10x magnification.  The termination itself is rather crude, almost rounded.  The crystal measures 8 cm long and .8 cm wide.  It displays very nicely.  120$

 

 

OKA-403 Celestite Madagascar. Thin sharply pointed crystals to 2 cm each fill an opening shaped like a dragon¹s mouth. This 10 x 8 x 6 cm specimen displays great. 75$

 

 



OKA-468 Sapphirine Andory, Southern Madagascar. 6 cm specimen contains several gray blue, opaque crystals. One is very nice in form and is approx. 1.5 cm long and 1 cm wide. Interesting specimen. 60$
