Herkimer Diamond Mineral Specimens, Page 2

The majority of these specimens are from Treasure Mountain in Little Falls, NY.  Top quality pieces mostly recovered over the past decade by myself. There is a lot of variety in the specimens from these locations: combination pieces with calcite, parallel growth clusters, intergrown groups, inclusions of anthraxolite, fine skeletal growth crystals, Herkimer diamonds on dolomite crystal matrix, internal shaft scepters and of course those beautiful and very rare fully formed scepters. I wonąt describe the dozens that are white, have some damage, major blowouts discolorations or other problems. No junk here.

These are nice specimens for the price. Of the hundreds (perhaps thousands) of Herkimer diamonds I have sold over the years, not a one has ever been returned or mention to me in any negative way by a customer. I attempt to keep the price at what would be considered by most a wholesale level.  Sorry about the less than perfect photos.  Of all the minerals we work with these are probably the toughest to get good photos of.

Read our book on these important crystals and how to mine them...

EA-130

EA-130 Herkimer Diamond Treasure Mountain, Little Falls, NY. This may be the best cluster I have seen from Treasure Mt. to date. It is composed of two larger crystals (approx 5.5 cm each) and 5 additional rider, or sister, crystals lightly attached to their sides. It is a reassembled, self collected group that would be described as floaters. Only attachment is a couple dolomite crystals on the bottom side which are only a few millimeters in size. Typical inclusions and top shelf aesthetics. 500$

OKA-782E Intergrown pair of crystals with moderate anthraxolite inclusions. Crystals are 4 and 4.9 cm each. Very nice. 70$

OKA-784 Skeletal Herkimer Diamonds. Treasure Mt. is quickly becoming famous for its small, beautifully formed skeletal crystals. These are, in my opinion, better than the skeletal Herk crystals from any other location. Similar to the ones in Rocks and Minerals Magazine...these are similar to the one in the American Museum of Natural History....at a fraction of the cost.

OKA-784B Pair of crystals...5.5 x 5 cm overall. Slightly smoky. 65$

OKA-869 Herkimer Diamond Ace of Diamonds, Middleville, NY. 6.8 cm crystal with a 3 cm rider crystal. Both have some internal fracturing but less than normal. Rider is partially skeletal and both of these double terminated crystals are completely damage free. The big crystal has a very light smoky phantom. Very nice example at a wholesale price.  85$

OKA-870 Herkimer Diamond Fonda, NY. This is a 10 x 8 cm cluster composed of 4 large Herks up to 7.5 cm each. The cluster is reassembled and has some damage. The largest crystal is repaired and missing a piece. Sounds unattractive but the piece is still quite handsome. This piece should be displayed on edge with damaged crystal down to look its best. 100$

OKA-885

OKA-885 Herkimer Diamond Treasure Mountain, Little Falls, NY. Cluster of three diamonds up to 4.2 cm in size. Entire piece measures 5.4 x 4.2 cm. Chips on base of piece are hidden from view from any angle. Minor anthraxolite and typical fracture inclusions. Excellent display specimen. Reassembled. Nice price.... 40$
