Back

OKD-655   Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  6 cm scepter with big rider crystal.  Badly damaged and repaired so there is only a frontal view which, however is very attractive.  Floater.  Main cap was shattered and a piece is missing.  Again, the front view is fine as can be seen from the photo so someone can pick up a deal here.  Quite large at 7 x 4.5 x 3.5 cm overall.  Great price....140$

OKD-657

OKD-657   Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  A beautiful pair of scepters which have been reattached.  One crystal has a small chip to its stem and back edge, otherwise a damage free floater.  Excellent deep black stems.  Internal skeletal form.  This fine grouping measures almost 8 cm wide with the largest crystal being 5.5 cm wide.  Highly uncommon, aesthetic piece.  I've never seen one quite like this beauty.  950$

OKD-662

OKD-662   Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  A pair of scepters in a crossing pattern.  They measure 6 x 5 x 3.5 cm as a specimen.  Minor matrix contact on one stem on back of piece.  No damage but a small attachment crystal is broken off.  This shows up clearly in first photo on the top of the right hand crystal.  Slightly skeletal and slightly smoky.  Very attractive, large specimen.  Great piece for the collector needing a fine Treasure Mountain specimen.  550$

OKD-808

OKD-808    Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  Here is a fine classic scepter with a short deep black stem.  It measures 2.8 cm and has a very clear cap which is mirror smooth on most of its faces.  There is a small blowout on one face.  60$

OKD-809

OKD-809    Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  This huge scepter is impressive but has several minor issues.  Most are noticeable with magnification and not distracting to the eye…one small blowout, a tiny tip ding and a small chip where there was once another crystal penetrating the large cap.  All this considered this is still a major piece with lots of great qualities…7.5 cm in length, interesting skeletal form and so on.  The specimen would command 1,000$ without the minor issues.  As is I’ll accept   325$

OKD-811

OKD-811    Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  At 3.4 cm this piece is an average scepter and it exhibits typical classic form.  It is a nice piece with a very tiny tip ding visible only from the back.  The cap is quite clear and exceptionally smooth.  170$

OKD-812

OKD-812    Herkimer Diamond Dumbbell Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  This dumbbell measures 3.6 cm.  The caps are thin and very clear.  The stem is deep black and has a glob of etched calcite and a small rhombohedral dolomite crystal on one side.  The smaller capped end has a tiny matrix contact.  175$

OKD-813

OKD-813    Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  This large piece is a highly atypical Herk scepter.  It is highly skeletal and rather tabular.  The stem is obvious and deep black.  This piece is a floater with no damage except for a tiny tip ding which will be noticed under close inspection.  The main crystal looks like a highly overgrown rider.  The piece measures 5.8 x 4.8 x 2.5 cm.  A great piece!  500$

OKD-814

OKD-814    Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  Another floater which is double terminated and classic in form.  Tiny tip ding but otherwise fine.  Unusual how the cap tapers down to the base.  4.5 cm in length.  200$

OKD-815

OKD-815    Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  This is a fine classic scepter with an unusually clear cap.  The backside has some matrix contact but the piece is still showing part of its double termination.  The stem is repaired and rather long for its size (3.6 cm).  A nice piece that is very desirable.  200$

OKD-816

OKD-816    Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  This nice specimen has a capped scepter with a branch which is not capped perpendicular to it.  Everything here is fully terminated and damage free.  An attractive and displayable specimen for any collection.  This one measures 2.9 cm long.  280$

OKD-817

OKD-817    Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  Here is a cute 3.3 cm scepter with a nice clear cap and a deep black uncapped branch.  The most minor of anthraxolite contact at its base, otherwise a floater.  An attractive damage free specimen.  250$

OKD-818

OKD-818    Herkimer Diamond Scepter   Treasure Mountain Mine, Little Falls, New York.  A nicely formed piece with moderate skeletal form.  There is basil contact from matrix but no damage.  A branching stem at this contact is only about 50% present.  A fine display specimen.  This one measures 3.9 cm.  300$
