Fluorites and Calcite Mineral Specimens from Walworth, New York

This mineral specimen is a typical example of a clear Walworth, New York fluorite on dolomite matrix.

Fluorites specimens from this occurrence are usually small, less than an inch, and extremely clear.  The site is well know by those who specialize in fluorites while seldom know to more general mineral collectors.  Pieces from Walworth are very difficult to obtain due to the site's lack of productivity and its seldom being open to the collecting public.  Club trips are sometimes permitted to the site.  All these specimens have been self collected over the past decade.
