Enhydro Herkimer Diamond Mineral Specimens, Page 1

Enhydos are water, and or, gas bubble inclusions that are sometimes found in Herkimer diamonds and other mineral specimens.  Gas bubble in water enhydos commonly move within the opening when the crystal is tilted side to side.  In some minerals, from certain locations, they are relatively common.  In Herkimer diamonds they are quite scarce.  Negative crystals are hollow inclusions which mirror the shape of a Herkimer diamond crystal.  Also rare, these inclusions can sometimes contain liquid, gas and solid anthraxolite.  Usually, 10x magnification is needed to see these inclusions.  All of these are visible with the naked eye.
