Mineral Specimens from Sharbot Lake,
Ontario, Canada
The primary mineral specimens to be found at this old barite prospect are, of
course, barites. Some calcite is also encountered. The barites are
thin, low profile blades that are less than a millimeter in thickness.
They form densely covered domes on massive white barite. All these have
come from the National Museum of Canada.
