Dravite (uvite) and other Mineral Specimens from Bush Farm, Richville, New York

(formerly the Jone's Farm). 

This famous Dana mineral locality produces nice brown uvite specimens and white lapidary grade tremolite.       

These tourmalines specimens have been referred to as dravites for many decades most likely because of their color.  Analysis have shown them to actually be uvite in their chemistry.  We will retain the term dravite here being that most of our specimens were labeled as such before this information was available.
