Alaska Mineral Specimens
Other than its fine garnets and epidotes Alaska is not well known for collector grade mineral specimens. They do exist and sometimes we have them for sale in our inventory.

OKH-614 Pyrite Hotspur Island, Alaska. Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection. If you are a pyrite collector this would certainly rank has an unusual find. It is a perfectly formed pyrite cube measuring .8 cm well displayed in matrix. It is damage free and well exposed. It has a satin luster and there is a second cube embedded in the base of this specimen (although it is damaged). An attractive display piece measuring 3.9 x 3.9 x 2.9 cm. $60

OKH-706 Whiteite with Lazulite and Siderite Rapid Creek, Yukon Territory, Alaska. Ex. Paul and Dawne Dunning Collection. This specimen measures 4.5 x 3.5 x 2 cm overall. The individual crystals of whiteite are in excess of 1.5 cm each. They have a satin luster and sit among their high luster accessory minerals. Damage free. An outstanding example for $135
